I feel like there’s so many books that you can just tell exactly how everything is gonna play out and the end goal is so obvious. Boring!

Dude you need to check out The Seventh Husbands of Evelyn Hugo – it’s not fantasy but holy shit the twists will mess you up. Also Ninth House by Leigh Bardujo if you want dark academia fantasy that gets absolutely unhinged
