there's a Polish film I watched with friends in 2017 at a film festival called "All These Sleepless Nights". it's the story of the friendship of two twenty-something guys in Warsaw told in a nonlinear, somewhat disorienting, fashion that, to me, evoked and imparted the euphoria of drinking and dancing and the intensity of the ephemeral relationships that one has during a summer of partying in a place that's not "home". my friends and i felt like that film perfectly encapsulated the way we were spending our summer together.

so I'm wondering if anyone has any lit-fic/memoir recs that might fit that general vibe. recognize this request is pretty niche. TIA!

recent reads I've enjoyed that approximate what I'm getting at, but aren't exactly it: "The South" by Tash Aw gets at similar themes of ephemerality and intensity of relationships while traveling; "The Loneliness of Sonia and Sunny" by Kiran Desai hits some of the same notes (displacement, loneliness, meaning-making through travel and in spite of routine, etc.), but doesn't strike the full chord.
