Please help me find new books to read , I feel like my taste is insanely specific.

I’m looking for NA+ dystopian or fantasy romance with a strong plot and slow-burn romance. YA doesn’t work for me.

What I love:

• Dystopian or fantasy romance

• a badass, confident FMC with unique or stronger powers than most characters

• Slow burn (chemistry > lust) or enemies to lovers 

• Heavy plot with an ongoing mission (often overthrowing a corrupt government)

• Long series (2+ books, the more the better as long as the quality stays strong)

• First-person preferred, but third-person is fine

• FMC-only or dual POV (NOT huge multi-POV casts)

What I don’t like:

• YA, love triangles, cheating/ second chance trope, stupid main character names like kingfisher???

• Instalove or rushed romance, pure smut, too much trauma 

• Miscommunication tropes

• Massive multi-POV where everyone gets chapters 

• Series that drag on and fall apart (From Blood and Ash…)

Books I loved:

• The Bone Season

• Fourth Wing

• Red Queen

• Shatter Me

• ACOTAR & Crescent City

• Kingdom of the Wicked

Books that were just okay / didn’t work:

• One Dark Window (romance felt too easy)

• The Serpent and the Wings of Night

• Powerless

Didn’t like at all:

• Throne of Glass

• The Cruel Prince

• This Woven Kingdom

• The Selection, the bridge kingdom, etc
