Been on a self-improvement journey. In the past months I’ve read Invisible ADHD by Shanna Pearson, Adult Children of Emotionally Immature parents & Recovering from Emotionally Immature parents by Lindsay Gibson.
Looking for books that help me make sense of people and patterns. I really enjoy books that are able to identify concepts, behaviours or phenomena. It helps me organise my thoughts and better understand patterns that I notice in myself and others.
I like when books offer broader perspectives and when they help me understand cognitive and behavioural patterns in a way that expands my knowledge and vocab.
I naturally gravitate towards books that are written by highly educated professionals, I’m not really looking for super long books (so please don’t suggest books the size of cinderblocks lol) I enjoy books that are concise. Mostly I just want something that actually offers insight and feels useful, not just motivational fluff.
I’m open to adjacent topics too — Psychology, attachment, trauma, relationships, social dynamics etc. Would love to hear any recommendations that stuck with you
