Hi everyone,
I just went through a really intense breakup that completely shifted how I see myself, relationships, and the world in general. I’m only 20, but in the few months since, I feel like I’ve grown and matured more than I ever expected to this early in life.
I’m not usually a big reader, and I don’t love traditional self-help books, the kind that just repeat “love yourself” or give step-by-step formulas. That said, I really connected with The Let Them Theory, mostly because it felt grounded in real experiences and helped me feel seen rather than fixed.
What I’m really looking for now are books about life, memoirs, essays, or even fiction that explore growth, identity, heartbreak, becoming your own person, learning how to be alone, learning how to not seek external validation, or just understanding yourself more deeply. I love personal stories and books that feel like a mirror rather than a lecture.
I feel like I’ve already learned so much from this experience, and I want to keep that momentum going through reading. Any recommendations that helped you during a turning point in your life would mean a lot.
Thank you
