Just finished reading this for the first time. Loved the plot, the way the story is told, both characters, the hint of the future love. I want another story like this with a leading male character that might involve some admiration of a character by the author.
I prefer dramatic plot, can’t read fantasy or science fiction.
I didn’t like the Cather in the Rye (read it as a teen and couldn’t finish it), so I suppose the Salinger’s character was too self-centered for me. The main characters of the Pigman seem to be caring about those who are around them. I like that trait to the book.
It could be an adult novel as well, but not the children’s one. Thanks
