I got hooked by a mobile app add for romantic fantasy “books” and found one called Strings of Fate by Kit Ryan. I love this story, it’s in a world where there humans and magics (witches, oracles, shifters, vampires, etc.) and the main character has an unknown type of magic where she sees the threads of fate connecting others, romantic threads, friendship threads, etc. It has great character development and even though it’s a fantasy/romance book it also has mystery. The romance is also intense and definitely pushes the line of smut but doesn’t cross it.
Unfortunately on the authors website they currently only publish their serial fiction work with platforms that lock chapters behind paywalls. The cost of unlocking all the chapters wound up being 2 or 3 times the cost of buying a book outright so I need recommendations because everything I find either seems to be a YA or full on smut and I’d prefer something in the middle where it’s still written for adults but wouldn’t have Fabio on the cover if you know what I mean.
Some mainstream books I have read and would say could be comparable to would be Twilight series, Mortal Instrument series and spin offs, but with the romance (description/details) level cranked up 2or 3 notches. Thank you in advance!
