I’m open to anything, but one aspect of a book I’ve enjoyed in recent years is an imposter or on-the-run theme. To give a few very different examples of books I liked that scratched this itch: The Lies of Locke Lamora by Scott Lynch; Yellowface by R.F. Kuang; and The Guest by Emma Cline. I really like reading about characters in high-stress situations where impending doom is probable but maybe not inevitable. I feel stressed a lot, so I guess big, fictional problems make me feel a bit better about real, little problems.
Alternatively, if you just want to recommend a random book you liked recently, that’s cool too.
