I grew up with novels like Gregor the Overlander (Collins), Enders game (Card), and Percy Jackson (Riordan). I really liked how they were gritty, but coming back to them they feel a bit easy and unrealistic (which is fine). Though, I am looking for soemthing more mature that has the same elements of exploration, relationships, and danger.
Any reccomendations for this? Does it exist?
