I’d love to see your top under-the-radar suggestions. I picked mine by sorting by least reviews on Goodreads (sure, not very scientific) and trying real hard to pick only 3 (limiting is hard).
The Secret Life of Dilly McBean by Dorothy Haas – I reread this as an adult and I say it holds up! My brother and I must have read this a hundred times as kids.
The Shades by Betty Brock – shamelessly posting because I have been trying to find a copy of this for the last 25 years and if anyone has one TELL ME! I just about wore out my elementary school copy.
Ain’t Nobody Nobody by Heather Harper Elliott – big ups for libraries; I picked this up because it was displayed and I just loved it. Isn’t that the greatest feeling?
Would love to hear everyone’s hidden gems, regardless of genre or anything else!
(And bonus for fellow horror aficionados, Paperbacks from Hell by Grady Hendrix is the gift that keeps on giving for obscure older horror recommendations)
