Hello! Looking for inspiration for a battle-of-the-bands story and hoping to create a more thorough catalog of books featuring characters competing in battle-of-the-bands-esque competitions.
I'd really love recommendations for YA or middle grade but truly anything is welcome.
Stories that more broadly follow teenagers making music/being in bands (i.e. The Haters by Jesse Andrews) are also welcome. Also down for stories about American Idol-esque music competitions shows (i.e. I'll Be the One by Lyla Lee). Comics (i.e. Scott Pilgrim) as well! Basically I'm zeroed in on battle-of-the-bands stories but want to get as comprehensive of a picture of the niche of music-related (primarily children's) literature as possible so anything you have, please throw it my way!
