I want a book that basically details what we know about the most ancient cultures we know of and how we know that about them.
I want the original ancient texts and their translations. Like that tablet about the low quality copper. I want to know how we know that Nabonidus was a moon god zealot. I want to read the ancient accounts of the battle that brought the end of his rule.
I would love if it was half a meter thick and had to be carried by two people if that's what it takes to hold all that information.
My mind hungers for this book.

Check out “The Ancient Near East: An Anthology of Texts and Pictures” by James Pritchard – it’s basically exactly what you’re describing. Has tons of primary sources with translations, including that famous complaint tablet you mentioned lol
Also maybe “Before the Muses” by Benjamin Foster for Mesopotamian stuff specifically. Not quite two-person heavy but definitely thicc enough to satisfy that ancient text craving
