Hello, first time poster, no idea if I'm doing this right; but I'm looking for some specific type of books and I can't seem to find much about what I'm looking for?
I want something dark, with a real and proper villain character – someone who kills, who enjoys being evil. Someone who's highly intelligent and a trickster. Who would do anything to achieve their goals. They have their own morals they follow and those aren't of the typical "good" kind.
Most ideally set in fantasy or fantasy-adjacent realms or anything non-modern, but I'm willing to try a lot for a fitting character.
Can be standalone or series, I don't mind either. Suggestions can be in both English and German of all levels.
A character that's kinda what I'm thinking of is Lucien Folter written by Chris Carter in his books "An Evil Mind" & "Hunting Evil". Another series I could think of is is the "Captive Prince" Trilogy by C.S. Pacat that captures these types of characters well, or also from V.E. Schwabs "Villains" Duology.
