She prefers stuff that is uplifting and is not a big fan of themes of violence or infidelity.. a little is ok, but if it’s a main plot point or too much of it, then she often won’t finish if the stuff isn’t easily skippable.
Favorite books are Angels of the Universe by Einar Már Guðmundsson and Popular Music from Vittula by Mikael Niemi
She is familiar with Isabel Allende and likes some of her books .. tried 100 years of solitude but couldn’t get through the war part, murakami books tend to have a lot of infidelity or overly sexual. Tried the Alchemist but she didn’t really get into it, but could try some of Cohelo’s other books.
Any suggestions that might be less common that she might like?
