Hi! I'm looking for some truly good disabled representation first and foremost, so if you have that, but not queer or sff, I would still like to hear it! In this cold, I'm looking for something to relate to.

Type of disability doesn't matter to me, though a cane or wheelchair user is a definite bonus. Queer identity doesn't matter, either — Trans gets bonus points, however.

Adult is great, YA is fine, and I'm only into any younger genre if it's really something. Love dystopian, but please disclaim if it's super heavy or has a sad ending! Graphic Novels are OK, too.

Some books I love (to give an idea of my taste):

    • The Murderbot Diaries Series by Martha Wells*

    • Imperial Radch series by Ann Leckie

    • Basically everything from TJ Klune except The Extraordinaires

    • A Lady for a Duke by Alexis Hall

    • Texiclaan series by Arkady Martine*

    • The Sunbearer Duology (1/2) by Aiden Thomas

    • The Darkness Outside us by Eilot Schrefer

    • Winter's Orbit series by Everina Maxwell *

Starred are absolute favorites of mine in an already favorites list. I'll limit myself there, though feel free to ask me for more below.

Thank you!! I know this is a pretty niche genre, but it's very meaningful to me.

    1. Someone You Can Build a Nest In by John Wiswell. He also has some very good short stories in various places online.

    2. This morning I finished Godkiller by Hannah Kaner and was very pleasantly surprised by both the disabled and queer representation. I would consider it YA (on the older side)? It’s the first of a fantasy trilogy, so disclaimer I have no idea of TWs for the others, but this one does start out with a pretty heavy prologue.
