Please suggest me a book about the Spanish Civil War
I've become really interested in the Spanish Civil War recently. Could you recommend me good books about it? Preferably novels (can be fiction, just set during the period), but can be non-fiction books too.

For whom the bell tolls by Ernest Hemingway.
If you ever feel inclined to go the non-fiction route, Antony Beevor’s book “The Spanish Civil War” is pretty good historical one stop shopping.
Days of Hope by Andre Malraux if you can find it in print in English – easier in original French l’Espoir
For sure Hemingway. Also look at George Orwell’s *Homage to Catalonia*.
Non-fiction: The Splintering of Spain: Cultural History and the Spanish Civil War, 1936–1939
Memoir: Homage to Catalonia by George Orwell about his time fighting in the war.
