Not looking to discuss the Epstein files here, but the newest releases had me wondering if anyone had ever written a book with the same basic premise as what has been released. Ultra rich and powerful people doing horrible things and blackmailing each other, running/ruining countries, interactions with the darkest parts of society, etc.
I really enjoyed Succession, so maybe imagine aspects of that but go way darker. Obviously fiction. And preferably not cheap spattercore or whatever it's called where it's all violence and/or sex and no plot.

Trust by Herman Diaz is about a crazy wealthy guy in the 1920s and how he can warp what is “true”. It came out a few years ago and I loved it!
There’s a small series called A Song of Ice and Fire you might like
Leverage by Amran Gowani
Bonfire of the Vanities by Tom Wolfe might work
I’m reading Empire of Pain about the Sackler family and it has Succession vibes for sure. Not necessarily between members of the family but their widespread and insidious manipulation of the pharmaceutical industry. It’s absolutely fascinating.
