Hi everyone, I live in Minneapolis and have been going through it emotionally and don't have the mental capacity to read something elaborate with heavy themes.
I'd love your recommendations for something whimsical, positive and ideally something that can be read in short bursts. I don't mind heavy themes and ideas, but generally looking to consume content that leans positive.
I don't have any specific genres I like or dislike, and the only book I've read that is similar to what I am describing is TJ Klune's The House in The Cerulean Sea.

totally get the need for something comforting right now. if you loved the house in teh cerulean sea, you might really dig “the ten thousand doors of january” by alix harrow – it’s got that same cozy fantasy vibe with gorgeous prose that’s perfect for reading in chunks. also “anxious people” by fredrik backman is surprisingly uplifting despite the title and has short chapters that make it super easy to pick up and put down.
Sangu Mandanna has a couple of cozy witch books that I really enjoyed.
