Hi all. I’m looking for crime novels, particularly murder/serial killer, but that are written from the view of the killer or have a lot of that perspective included.
(Before anyone worries, I’m an aspiring author not a potential murderer.)

First one to do is *The Collector* by John Fowles! Great novel, very influential and not that commonly discussed I find. Does really well to give the perp’s point of view and I won’t spoil any more.
Heartsick by Chelsea Cain.
The Talented Mr. Ripley by Patricia Highsmith (ignore the awful movie)
The Killer Inside Me by Jim Thompson
The Wasp Factory by Iain Banks
