As the title says I haven't read a Fiction book since I was about 15 (32 now). I honestly can't even remember what it was, perhaps Animorphs or a Harry Potter book.
I've recently started getting into reading again, mostly Philosophy and Science Non-Fiction. I'd like to get some recommendations based on some of the shows movies and video games I've enjoyed in the past.

If you think you might enjoy sci-fi I would recommend Solaris by Stanislaw Lem. It’s not the easiest book to read, but the hard parts are the science-y parts, so should be up your alley.
I would also suggest you check out Ted Chiang. He has 2 short story collections that might be interesting to you.
