I'm looking for realistic fiction set in Kazakhstan within the last decade or two – the more recent, the better. Happy with any genre as long as it's well written and gives a realistic representation of the country and life there. I'd prefer books written by authors who are from Kazakhstan or have at least lived there.
Please don't just give me a link to an online list of books set in Kazakhstan – I can search for those myself, I'm here to get personal recommendations from people who've read the book they're suggesting and know that it matches what I'm looking for.
