Requirements:
\-Actual enemies to lovers. Not when they’re already talking about how “hot” each other are 5 minutes in. True hatred that’s mutual and makes you wonder if they will ever get together.
\-The hatred turns into deep yearning and tension. Subtle steamy situations that give you butterflies but keep you waiting.
\-Slow burn. The characters don’t get together until the end of the first book or the second. (I would love for there to be more than one book).
\-Cold characters that aren’t the cringy grumpy type but are actually emotionally iced off.
\-Spice that adds to the complexity of their relationship and is inserted strategically. (Hopefully of which would come at the end of the first, ideally second book to achieve that slow burn). Open door spice.
Not requirements but other stuff I’d like:
\-Forced/arranged marriage.
\-Historical setting.
\-Fantasy.
\-Forced proximity.
\-Accurate representations of traumas.
\-A complex plot outside of their developing romance.
\-Dark romance (no r@p3 between the two who are supposed to be falling for each other).
\-Dystopian.
\-Fake relationship that turns real.
\-True rivals to lovers (not immediately attracted to each other and want the other to fail).
Stuff I don’t like:
\-Love triangles that keep you guessing who they’re going to choose.
\-Age gap relationships that include a minor and an adult.
\-Having more than one love interest in general.
\-Mafia enemies to lovers.
