Looking for books on the following things: The Troubles, air warfare in general (but specifically Cold War), the War in Iraq, Vietnam, the War in Afghanistan, the history of American special forces, and the history of nuclear weapons beyond the Manhattan Project. Recommendations for any of the topics would be appreciated. Trying to read more nonfiction and these are the topics I find myself interested in.

As far as the Troubles. I found “Say Nothing” to be haunting
For The Troubles definitely check out *Say Nothing* by Patrick Radden Keefe – incredible storytelling and really gets into the human side of it all. For Vietnam, *Dispatches* by Michael Herr is a wild ride, reads almost like fiction but it’s all real war correspondence
Can’t help much with the air warfare stuff but *The Dead and the Alive* by Robert Baer is solid for Iraq if you want a CIA perspective on things
