I'm looking for some book recommendations, want to read some MEN perspective about romance, don't want to read typical enemies to lovers from a woman POV, need some book to understand the MEN POV
Doesn't matter if romance is not the main topic, as far as there some romance, like Aragon and Arwen on LOTR which is written by a man, Tolkien
Or something like:
- The Great Gatsby by Scott Fitzgerald
- White Nights by Fyodor Dostoevsky
- Great Expectations by Charles Dickens
I can also think about Shakespeare, but looking something more recent…

The Lady of the Camellias by Alexandre Dumas – made into multiple movies and operas
Read some Thomas Hardy, maybe?
The Sunflower Protocol by Andre Soares deserves more praise.
It’s a time travel romance that is grounded and not tropey. From a man’s POV.
Ivanhoe by Walter Scott
Far From the Madding Crowd by Thomas Hardy
A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens
You and Me by Tal Bauer
I think you’ll find that heterosexual male romance is usually pretty misogynistic.
If you don’t mind YA–They Both Die At the End is a good queer romance/drama/tragedy
