As the title states i love reading literary fiction but i’ve come to realize that as a lesbian myself i can barely think of any that features sapphic character(s) as a main character. Romance between characters is not necessary in the book, I just want to see this kind of representation in my favorite genre (but i don’t mind the romance). I also don’t mind sub-genre whether its general fiction, horror, thriller, historical, fantasy, contemporary etc.

– beartown series by fredrik backman (currently reading the winners)
– notes on an execution by danya kukafka
– atmosphere by taylor jenkins reid (not a litfic but i really enjoy the sapphic characters and the found family here)
– the vanishing half by brit bennett
– flowers for algernon by daniel keyes
– natural beauty by ling ling huang (just finished this one today which is what inspired me to make this post)
