Let me start by saying if you enjoyed the series “The OA” and were just as gutted when it got cancelled, this feels somewhat like a spiritual successor with it being from the same minds behind it.
It follows the lead, Darby (a computer hacker with a background in pathology and hunting down cold cases) as she’s invited to a retreat by a tech billionaire who is married to one of her hacking idols. Murder Mystery ensues and she is driven to solve it.
What I like most about the show is the blend of mystery, realistic portrayals of hacking (none of this keyboard spamming you see in films) and a focus on the analytical side of investigating murders.
Ideally I’m looking for something that could be the child of Mr Robot, Agatha Christie and True Detective.
