I usually like supernatural horror (I.e. ghosts, monsters, demons, etc) books but I’m tired of the endings where everything works out in the end. I want some actual consequences and not some feel-good wrap up where good triumphs evil.

I know it’s not what you’re looking for, but the only place I’ve ever seen that is goosebumps. The kids stay squirrels, the sister was never born, the reflection takes over, the monster was a level three player, etc
