I like fantasy a lot but find that the genre has become overrun by poorly written, uninventive, romance-forward slop. Even the more highbrow fantasy books always have to insert romance too. In every book I read that includes romance, my least favorite part of the book is the romance. I don't care for it and I'm tired of it feeling like it's an obligatory part of every book. Please recommend good fantasy books with little or, preferably, no romance at all.
