So she and I used to be good friends , but stuff happened we are not in that good terms but we occasionally speak with each other but she loves reading books( even I like reading books but I like books on war tactics , historic accounts and historic fiction , real life crime ) she likes books like the kite runner ,the alcameist , my sweet orange tree , books by kafka , dostoevsky ,george Orwell and self help books likes of jay Shetty
So I need a suggestion for a book which is bit underrated and falls somewhere between this.

honestly sounds like you want something that bridges your interests without being too obvious about it. maybe check out “The Book Thief” by Markus Zusak – it’s got that literary feel she’d appreciate but also deals with war/historical stuff you’re into
or if you want something more under the radar, “The Shadow of the Wind” by Carlos Ruiz Zafón might work. it’s got mystery elements and literary depth without being super mainstream. there’s also some dark historical undertones that could appeal to both of you
