So I have been binge reading/listening to erotic novels, but I have been consistently disappointed.
Some of what I recently read:
Birthday Girl: Meh. Liked the buildup but hated how it ended. The ending was too cliche.
Him: I liked this one much better than birthday girl.
Teach Me: Oh god I regret buying this one. The relationship felt too rushed and the attraction between them lackes depth. It isn't physical and it isn't convincing as intellectual.
Praise: Felt too similar to many other books in this genre.

Haunting Adeline: being a r*pe victim myself, I DID NOT APPRECIATE IT. Couldn't even finish the book without wanting to peel my skin off.
The only book I recently read and drooled over is Priest.
So, can you help me find my next favorite smutty romance? I want something believable, slow burn, character depth, lots and lots of banter, genuine connection and interest.. No "I met this person, fell in love with, fucked, got pregnant, someone was stalking me, lost the baby, got married – all in 2 months".
I love age gap and taboos, so that would be a plus.
