i read the everlasting due to a recommendation from here and LOVED it. But i need more…
Reasons i loved The Everlasting: characters weren't teenagers, actual depth in worldbuilding, intersectionality, FMC wasn't ridiculously beautiful or stereotypical, beautiful prose. MMC wasn't horrible in treatment towards the FMC, wasnt abusive or misogynistic etc.
Other romantasies I've read and HATED:
Shatter me: shallow, vapid, horrible prose.
Red queen: no depth, lack of world building, incredibly cliche, boring
Throne of glass: insufferable FMC, lack of diversity, cliche, shallow
Other books I've loved:
Six of crows duology: loved the characters and world building and romance
Wuthering heights: not romantic but loved the depth of the characters, incredibly entertaining and couldn't put it down. I want something less tragic though
Things I don't want: pedophilia, graphic descriptions of rape and SA for shock factor, tragic endings.
