I love memoirs and essays, especially on audiobook read by the author (although that's not a requirement). However, almost all of them are by white women. I really would like to hear from more Black women and POC (besides Becoming which I read and loved). Any suggestions?

    1. *Finding Me: A Memoir* by Viola Davis. Listening to her read is captivating! This was the first audiobook I ever listened to (and probably the last because I doubt I will find one as powerful).

    2. I Know Why The Caged Bird Sings- Maya Angelou (probably the most classic)

The Light We Carry- Michelle Obama

I read mostly comedic memoirs so:

      Self Inflicted Wounds- Aisha Tyler

Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me- Mindy Kaling (not black, but POC)

Born a Crime-Trevor Noah (not a woman, but black. Also not entirely comedy. Fantastic book with laughs and cries)
