i'm very picky with style personally. i liked normal people, my year of rest and relaxation, and the style of the hunger games books. i read crying in hmart recently but it didn't really engage me, which is disappointing, because i was hoping to read something that reminded me of my own culture. all in all i tend to lean towards heavier topics and complex, possibly unlikeable characters, and i prefer a modern setting (21st century). it would also be nice to read a book that depicts depression in the main character. (not the bell jar i didn't really like it). please let me know! i love reading and don't want to stop because i'm out of ideas.
