Hi everyone,
I’m looking for some advice on what books to read next.
I’ve read Frankenstein, Dracula, 1984, Between Two Fires, Fight Club, Fahrenheit 451, Marble by Joseph Brodsky, and I really enjoyed all of them. I’m especially drawn to darker, unsettling, or thought-provoking books—whether they’re horror, dystopian, or more psychological or existential in tone.
If you have any recommendations in that direction, I’d love to hear them. Thanks!

based on what you’ve read i think you’d dig The Road by cormac mccarthy – it’s this bleak post-apocalyptic father/son journey that’ll mess with your head in the best way. also check out We by Yevgeny Zamyatin since you liked 1984, it actually inspired Orwell and has this really unsettling mathematical dystopia vibe
for something more psychological/existential, The Stranger by Camus might hit that sweet spot – it’s got this detached narrator dealing with meaninglessness that feels both disturbing and profound. oh and if you want pure unsettling vibes, Annihilation by Jeff VanderMeer creates this weird biological horror atmosphere that sticks with you long after you finish reading
