I actually read this one last year and honestly it’s kinda hit or miss. Like yeah a lot of it is common sense stuff packaged up with edgy language but Manson does have some solid points about choosing what actually matters to you instead of caring about everything equally. The whole thing about how our culture tells us we should be positive all the time was pretty eye opening for me personally. That said if you already have your head screwed on straight about priorities and self awareness you might find yourself skipping through chunks of it. I’d probably recommend checking it out from the library first before buying it since its one of those books that either clicks with people or feels like a waste of time

If you are at all into philosophy, history or thearpy you will probably find the book a bit of a bore.

I didn’t think it was very good, it was repetitive and not really insightful.
