    Hi guys!
I've been ill at home for a long time and have issues with my nervous system. I've read most of the popular non fiction books mostly feminist, science and occult books. To survive this I need more books that are soft on the heart and kind to the ears.
Currently I'm listening to an lecture on ancient Egypt. I can only consume Audio books and topics like death, illness and family topics are problematic.
I love learning new things and I really enjoyed the following:

    • an immense world
    • smoke gets in your eyes (This was my fave before I got ill)
    • fabric of reality

I like writing that conveys information efficiently if this makes sense haha e.g. I don't like when they use a lot of descriptions because I have aphantasia.

Thank you everyone for your help and may the rest of the day be blessed ☀️♥️

    1. Other Minds (explores consciousness in cephalopods)

The Light Eaters (investigates consciousness and neural networks in plants)

Fantastic Fungi (about the healing properties of fungi and their expressions of consciousness)

Also, John D. Barrow is a VERY readable author in cosmology. My favorites of his books are The Book of Nothing, The Book of Everything, and Origins of the Universe.

      I can’t help because I read only fiction. BUT…

      “Easily disgustable” made me lol

    3. How about a book about a fruit, you can also learn something random about New Zealanders – their passion for said fruit.
