A book where two flawed people bring out the best in each other?

It doesn't necessarily need to be in a romantic relationship – though that is what I had in mind when I came up with this. It just needs to be a book that shows how people can influence each other for the better. That you don't need to be perfect yourself to bring light to other people's lives.

Any genre works, really.
