i’m tired of “productive” books. give me something purely unhinged
i don’t want to learn anything or become a better person rn. just need a book that’s absolutely chaotic, messy, and maybe a little bit illegal. what’s your best "wtf did i just read" recommendation?
I don’t know about illegal, but There Is No Antimemetics Division by qntm was pretty odd.

sounds like you need The Power of the Dog, by Don Winslow… unhinged is right but it’s a good quick read

Only book I’ve read that made me think that was “I Am Behind You” by John Ajvide Lindqvist. 4 separate groups of campers (in RVs) all wake up to find themselves in this liminal, purgatory type setting. Nothing but grass as far as they can see, in all directions. Gets weirder and more fucked up from there. I still don’t know wtf happened in that book.

I honestly felt like I’d be put on some kind of list for reading American Psycho.

I just finished the audiobook of Invisible Monsters by Chuck Palahniuk. 10/10 listen. It was a chaotic and hilarious mess.
