As the title suggests, I'd appreciate books that deconstruct religions and occult communities. I am prone to believing in fantasies and supernatural things and I need some secular grounding material to move away from that.
I have been abused by a cult before and my timeline on social media is full of people talking about some spiritual warfare and occult magick happening throughout the world as if it's real and certain, that it is starting to affect me negatively. I'd like to see everything through a secular lens and I want to continue to do so.
If you know any nonfiction books (secular author) that can help me achieve further deconstruction, I'd appreciate it.
