You all helped me a lot a few months ago. Hoping you can help again.
I recently read Running on Empty: Overcoming Your Childhood Emotional Neglect. It got me thinking a lot about childhood and a desire to explore those themes more.
The recommendation can be either fiction or non-fiction. Looking for recommendations of books such as:
- What an emotionally healthy childhood looks like.
- Books for parents about raising emotionally healthy children.
- Books for adults who feel their childhood was missing important developmental milestones.
- Book about a character who had a neglected childhood but became happy in their own way.
- Books about characteristics and traits of well adjusted adults. I'm aware well-adjusted might be subjective and ill-defined. I mean it as being able to adapt and change to life events, have healthy friendship and romantic relationships, good social skills, conflict resolution, etc.
Thank you!
