My dream casting for a Jordan Peele adaptation of “The Cask of Amontillado”

Hear me out: Bill Skarsgård as Montresor and Bruce Campbell as Fortunato.
Period piece set during carnival, 1840s. Using Poe's original dialogue directly from the text. Peele directing would bring that psychological horror he's known for—the obsession, the class resentment, the slow-burn revenge.
Skarsgård has that unsettling charm perfect for someone narrating their own perfect murder. And Campbell could bring real pathos to Fortunato—imagine him going from bombastic and arrogant in flashbacks to desperate and confused as he's being bricked into a wall.
The structure: show the "thousand injuries" through flashbacks as they descend into the catacombs. Explore how their friendship dissolved as Fortunato became successful and Montresor stewed in resentment.
