Any romance books where the couple doesn’t end up together?

Maybe the romance tag is the wrong one, but I'm tired of all the "happily ever after" romance stories and want one where the couple wont end up together.

HEA (happily ever after) is a core part of the romance genre, so if you’re reading romance genre, you’re unlikely to find that. You could look for romantic tragedy.
