Post apocalyptic survival that isn’t depressing?

it doesn't actually have to be post apocalyptic, but I'm looking for a book focused on surviving a world basically alone that really focuses on urban exploration and the like. Looking for tools in abandoned buildings and finding food in broken down stores, that kinda thing. I don't want it focused on rebuilding society, just focusing on the day to day minutia of being in a world where you have to adapt to an urban world without other people.
