In need of book recommendations

Hi, I've already DNF'd two books just at the beginning of this year so I'm really looking for more interesting thriller/mystery/murder/detective/psychological type of books where the characters, plot, and pace are actually good.

For reference, I enjoyed Hidden Pictures, Strange Pictures, and The Only One Left. I recently stopped reading The House Across the Lake because i got bored halfway through, and His&Hers because i did not like the characters.

Please share some books that you think are worth reading and have enjoyed doing so : ) Thank you, I would really appreciate it.
