I've been getting myself slowly back into reading and I'm loving this romantasy fix that I have going. But, I'd really love to find some good romance, fantasy, and/or romantasy with more black central characters. As a black person myself, representation and diversity are really important to me and I'd love to expand that diversity a bit in the characters I read about.
For reference, in fantasy, I love magic, fae/fairies (inclusion is a plus but not a must), I liveeeee for the danger, and I can get behind an overpowered main character 💅. In romance, I live for a slow burn romance, can always go for some spice sprinkled in here and there, and I will never say no to something dramatic. In general, a good aspect of mystery is always appreciated and there will 100% be bonus points if it's queer 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️ 😌
Some books that I've been loving have been The Hidden Legends series by Alicia Rades and Meghan Linski, Lore of the Wilds by Analeigh Sbrana (current read), and An Intrigue of Witches by Esme Addison (started but, haven't finished just yet) if it helps at all.
Also, doesn't necessarily need to be new. I can always get behind an oldie but goodie. 😌 Time of release really doesn't matter to me. 💅 (Age range YA and up is definitely preferable though)
No wrong answers here, I'm open to anything.🙏
