I'm in a headspace where I'm incredibly burnt out and I've intertwined my identity to my job performance. I'm starting to slow down and appreciate the world around me, and find the little things in life that make me happy. Things like being with loved ones, being in nature, partaking in hobbies without any goals or without expectations. There are a few books that make me feel like "hey, life isn't so serious and everything will be okay!" Books that make me realize that at our core, humans are just animals who are all trying to make their way through a society that was created to benefit the few.

    – The House in the Cerulean Sea: I can relate to the main character in this book since I'm also a gov worker who did everything by the book. I can especially relate to the character having a revelation at the end.

    – Remarkably Bright Creatures: This book spoke to me because of how mundane some of the scenarios were. It's just like what people go through on their day to day, such as go to work, try to make ends meet, try to form relationships/bonds with others. There's the drama at the end, of course, but for the most part, this book had characters that seemed almost real.

    – Dragon Rider by Cornelia Funke: This is a children's book but I really enjoyed how the author incorporated a human into the mythical world. It gives off an adventurous spirit, especially since the human is fascinated by everything he sees.

Are there any other books that give off these vibes that you'd recommend? I'm looking more for fiction books rather than self help books.
