Or any Greek Mythology books that anyone wants to recommend. I love reading about it and it’s been fascinating to acquaint myself to it through these kinds of books.
I am aware that Circe is not what a lot of people would consider a good retelling. I wouldn’t say I have the most refined taste either. Idk. My experience with the book was a bit of a rollercoaster, and despite the downs I can’t say I regret reading it. It gave me a character that was fundamentally flawed, but not entirely hard to understand the motives and drives of. Which I like I guess. And ended it in a way that made sense to me. Maybe even touching. Or I’m just remembering it all wrong. Listening to the audiobook instead def made it a whole lot easier to sit through.
But yea, sorry for rambling. I’d love to see all your suggestions! Maybe I’ll come by and give my honest thoughts in a reply after giving them a shot, too.
