I have a work book club that I'm trying to think of suggestions for…we are mostly women and are trying not to lose the men we do have haha.
Some books everyone has loved recently:
Rebecca
Daisy Darker
Brandon Sanderson books
The Correspondant
Wool
We're currently reading the Blue Sword, so probably not wanting another fantasy book. Everyone loves mystery and thrillers though!
I was thinking Project Hail Mary since the movie is out soon, but several people have read it already. Happy to provide other details if needed! Since this is in the workplace, we just want to stay away from more explicit romance or things like that.

Some books that everyone might enjoy are…
Middlegame by Seanan McGuire
Parable of the Sower by Octavia Butler
Into the Drowning Deep by Mira Grant
Annihilation by Jeff Vandermeer
Everybody seems to forget Andy Weir’s second book Artemis. True, it’s not as good as Project Hail Mary or The Martian, but that still leaves a lot of room to be an enjoyable read. And it’s got a bit of a mystery/thriller vibe.
I think fans of Project Hail Mary would also like Children of Time.
Neuromancer by William Gibson could be a fun one. It’s the book that kind of originated cyberpunk and has aged reasonably well
Bunny or Rouge by Mona Awad could also be fun
A Thousand Splendid Suns – Khaled Hosseini
