I re-read Cormac McCarthy’s The Road during paternity leave after our first kid was born. Holy hell. It went from “great book” to absolutely wrecking me.
Same thing when I revisited Pet Sematary. Becoming a parent obviously changes you, but I didn’t expect those books to hit that much harder the second time around.
Any other books that land differently after you’ve had kids? I tend to lean dark (clearly), but I’m open to whatever. Thanks in advance!
