I read convenience store woman a few months ago and have been looking for similar books ever since. It brought me a sense of comfort and understanding that I never knew I needed.
It helped me to feel pride in the mediocre parts of my life in that just because it’s boring doesn’t mean it doesn’t have value.
I need another book with the same concepts of everyday life, solidarity and acceptance of that life.

Maybe Psalm For the Wild Built? It’s a sci fi duology about a tea monk going through a bit of a midlife crisis and a robot who has been sent to figure out what humanity “needs”. It’s a very gentle, feel-good story! The monk is struggling with not feeling fully satisfied with their life, so it might resonate.
